| 1 | E depois d'isto aconteceu que David feriu os philisteos, e os abateu; e tomou a Gath, e os logares da sua jurisdicção, da mão dos philisteos. | Now after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines. |
| 2 | Tambem feriu os moabitas: e os moabitas ficaram servos de David, trazendo presentes. | And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts. |
| 3 | Tambem David feriu a Hadar-ezer, rei de Zoba, junto a Hamath, indo elle estabelecer os seus dominios pelo Euphrates. | And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates. |
| 4 | E David lhe tomou mil cavallos de carros, e sete mil cavalleiros, e vinte mil homens de pé: e David jarretou todos os cavallos dos carros; porém reservou d'elles cem cavallos. | And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots. |
