| 1 | Senhor Deus da minha salvação, diante de ti tenho clamado de dia e de noite. | O Lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee: |
| 2 | Chegue a minha oração perante a tua face, inclina os teus ouvidos ao meu clamor; | Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry; |
| 3 | Porque a minha alma está cheia de angustias, e a minha vida se approxima da sepultura. | For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave. |
| 4 | Estou contado com aquelles que descem ao abysmo: estou como homem sem forças, | I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength: |
| 5 | Apartado entre os mortos, como os feridos de morte que jazem na sepultura, dos quaes te não lembras mais, e estão cortados da tua mão. | Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand. |
| 6 | Pozeste-me no abysmo mais profundo, em trevas e nas profundezas. | Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps. |
| 7 | Sobre mim peza o teu furor: tu me affligiste com todas as tuas ondas (Selah). | Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah. |
| 8 | Alongaste de mim os meus conhecidos, pozeste-me em extrema abominação para com elles: estou fechado, e não posso sair. | Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth. |
| 9 | A minha vista desmaia por causa da afflicção: Senhor, tenho clamado a ti todo o dia, tenho estendido para ti as minhas mãos. | Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: Lord, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee. |
| 10 | Mostrarás tu maravilhas aos mortos, ou os mortos se levantarão e te louvarão? (Selah) | Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah. |
| 11 | Será annunciada a tua benignidade na sepultura, ou a tua fidelidade na perdição? | Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction? |
| 12 | Saber-se-hão as tuas maravilhas nas trevas, e a tua justiça na terra do esquecimento? | Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? |
| 13 | Eu, porém, Senhor, tenho clamado a ti, e de madrugada te esperará a minha oração. | But unto thee have I cried, O Lord; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee. |
| 14 | Senhor, porque rejeitas a minha alma? porque escondes de mim a tua face? | Lord, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me? |
| 15 | Estou afflicto, e prestes tenho estado a morrer desde a minha mocidade: emquanto soffro os teus terrores, estou distrahido. | I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted. |
| 16 | A tua ardente indignação sobre mim vae passando: os teus terrores me teem retalhado. | Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off. |
| 17 | Elles me rodeiam todo o dia como agua; elles juntos me sitiam. | They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together. |
| 18 | Desviaste para longe de mim amigos e companheiros, e os meus conhecidos estão em trevas. | Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness. |
