| 1 | Bemaventurado o varão que não anda no conselho dos impios, nem está no caminho dos peccadores, nem se assenta no assento dos escarnecedores. | Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. |
| 2 | Antes tem o seu prazer na lei do Senhor, e na sua lei medita de dia e de noite. | But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. |
| 3 | Pois será como a arvore plantada junto a ribeiros de aguas, que dá o seu fructo no seu tempo; as suas folhas não cairão, e tudo quanto fizer prosperará. | And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. |
| 4 | Não são assim os impios: mas são como a moinha que o vento espalha. | The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. |
| 5 | Pelo que os impios não subsistirão no juizo, nem os peccadores na congregação dos justos. | Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. |
| 6 | Porque o Senhor conhece o caminho dos justos; porém o caminho dos impios perecerá. | For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. |
