| 2 | Senhor, escuta a minha voz: sejam os teus ouvidos attentos á voz das minhas supplicas. | Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. |
| 3 | Se tu, Senhor, observares as iniquidades, Senhor, quem subsistirá? | If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? |
| 4 | Porém comtigo está o perdão, para que sejas temido. | But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. |
| 5 | Aguardo ao Senhor; a minha alma o aguarda, e espero na sua palavra. | I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. |
| 6 | A minha alma aguarda ao Senhor, mais do que os guardas pela manhã, mais do que aquelles que vigiam pela manhã. | My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. |
| 7 | Espere Israel no Senhor, porque no Senhor ha misericordia, e n'elle ha abundante redempção. | Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. |
