| 2 | Perseverae em oração, velando n'ella com acção de graças: | Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; |
| 3 | Orando tambem juntamente por nós, para que Deus nos abra a porta da palavra, para fallarmos do mysterio de Christo, pelo qual estou tambem preso; | Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: |
| 4 | Para que o manifeste, como me convém fallar. | That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. |
| 5 | Andae com sabedoria para com os que estão de fóra, remindo o tempo. | Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. |
